William R. Hollinger is our Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer with responsibility for all accounting functions and financial reporting. He also leads our companywide business planning process and is responsible for developing and implementing strategic initiatives to strengthen financial performance.
Throughout his career, Mr. Hollinger has played an important role in the company's largest transactions, including its tax-free spin-off, several public debt and equity offerings, various acquisitions, the initial public offering (IPO) and subsequent sale of the company's French subsidiary, and the sale of the company's mortgage banking subsidiary. He has also been instrumental in positioning the company's financial structure to support its operations and strategic initiatives.
Mr. Hollinger joined KB Home in 1987, immediately after the company's IPO. He established and led the internal audit department and created an audit reporting system to enhance operational efficiency and tighten internal accounting controls.
Prior to joining KB Home, Mr. Hollinger spent five years in the audit practice at Coopers & Lybrand (today known as PricewaterhouseCoopers) in the Los Angeles office.
Mr. Hollinger holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the California State University, Northridge, graduating Summa Cum Laude. He is a Certified Public Accountant, and member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, as well as the California Society of Certified Public Accountants.
