Jeffrey T. Mezger, Chairman of the Board, President and Chief Executive Officer, 30 Years of Service

Jeffrey T. Mezger has been our President and Chief Executive Officer, and a member of our Board of Directors, since 2006. In August, 2016, he was named Chairman of the Board.

Under Mr. Mezger’s leadership, KB Home established itself as one of the most recognized brands in homebuilding. He has overseen the development of KB Home’s unique home buying experience, which emphasizes consumer choice and value. As a respected industry voice in sustainability, he launched a strategic transformation of KB Home that led to the introduction and continuous development of our energy-efficient and environmentally-conscious home designs, and helped reduce the environmental impact of our operations.

Mr. Mezger previously held the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of KB Home from 1999 to 2006. In this role, he led the development of our core KBnxt operational business model, and expanded and diversified KB Home’s U.S. homebuilding operations. A 40-year homebuilding industry veteran, Mr. Mezger joined KB Home in 1993 as President of the Company’s Antelope Valley, California division. He was later named President of the Company’s Arizona division and became Senior Vice President and Regional General Manager of the Company’s Southwest region. Prior to joining KB Home, he spent 15 years with U.S. Home, serving as President of the company’s Central California division from 1983 to 1993.

Mr. Mezger was the Founding Chairman of the Leading Builders of America and previously served as Chairman of the policy advisory board of the Joint Center for Housing Studies at Harvard University, and on the executive board of the USC Lusk Center for Real Estate and serves on the policy advisory board of the Fisher Center for Real Estate & Urban Economics at the University of California, Berkeley. In 2012, Mr. Mezger was inducted into the California Homebuilding Foundation Hall of Fame for his outstanding contribution to the building industry through innovation, public service and philanthropy.

Mr. Mezger holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from DePauw University.

Jeff Kaminski, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, 13 Years of Service

Jeff Kaminski is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of KB Home. In this role, Mr. Kaminski is responsible for our accounting, finance, internal audit, investor relations, tax and treasury functions.

Prior to joining KB Home, Mr. Kaminski was Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and a member of the Strategy Board of Federal-Mogul Corporation, a leading global supplier of automotive powertrain and safety technologies to original equipment manufacturers and the worldwide aftermarket, headquartered in Southfield, Michigan. During his more than 20-year career at Federal-Mogul, a Fortune 500 company, Mr. Kaminski served in a variety of financial and operational leadership positions, including Senior Vice President of Global Purchasing, Vice President of Global Supply Chain Management, Vice President of Finance for Global Powertrain Systems, Managing Director of the Company's Aftermarket subsidiary in Australia, and International Controller for the Aftermarket Group.

Mr. Kaminski serves on the Board of Directors of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern California, an organization dedicated to providing comfort, care and support to critically ill children and their families in Southern California.

Mr. Kaminski began his career in public accounting at Deloitte & Touche LLP. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Michigan and a Master of Business Administration degree from Wayne State University.

Robert McGibney, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, 22 Years of Service

Robert McGibney is Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of KB Home. In this role, he is responsible for our operations in our West Coast and Southwest regions. In addition, Mr. McGibney oversees our architecture, design studio, national contracts and sustainability functions.

Mr. McGibney joined KB Home in 2000 as a Financial Analyst in our Las Vegas division and went on to lead several key areas within the division, including land development, purchasing and operations. He held roles of increasing responsibility, being promoted to Senior Vice President, then Executive Vice President and, in 2012, Mr. McGibney became Division President in Las Vegas. In 2016, he was promoted to Regional General Manager of our Arizona and Nevada businesses and in 2018, became Regional President, with the additional responsibility for our Southern California divisions and, subsequently, two divisions in Northern California.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Finance from Missouri State University.

Albert Z. Praw, Executive Vice President of Real Estate and Business Development, 29 Years of Service

Albert Z. Praw is our Executive Vice President of Real Estate and Business Development. In this role, Mr. Praw is responsible for land acquisition strategies and growth initiatives in our 45 markets across the U.S.

Mr. Praw has held a number of senior legal and operational positions at KB Home since joining the company in 1989 as Senior Vice President and General Counsel. Most recently, Mr. Praw was Senior Vice President of Asset Management, responsible for overseeing all KB Home land acquisition activities. He has also served as a Regional General Manager overseeing a number of KB Home divisions, and president of the company's Greater Los Angeles division.

From 2006 to 2011, Mr. Praw served as Chief Executive Officer of Landstone Communities, LLC, a company he founded. Earlier in his career, Mr. Praw was a partner in the law firm of Sidley & Austin, practicing real estate and corporate law.

Mr. Praw holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of California at Berkeley, and a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of California at Los Angeles. While at UCLA Law School, he was a member of the UCLA Law Review and Order of the Coif.

He is a member of the Urban Land Institute and an active member of the community, serving on the board of directors of the Jewish Federation Council of Greater Los Angeles.

Brian Woram, Executive Vice President and General Counsel, 13 Years of Service

Brian Woram is our Executive Vice President and General Counsel. In this role, he is responsible for our companywide legal and compliance functions.

Mr. Woram brings extensive experience in the homebuilding sector, having spent 14 years at Centex Corporation, a major public homebuilder headquartered in Dallas before its merger with PulteGroup. He served in several lead roles at Centex, ultimately as Senior Vice President, Chief Legal Officer and Chief Compliance Officer, responsible for legal, internal audit and corporate compliance. Earlier in his career, Mr. Woram was a shareholder at the Dallas-based law firm now known as Locke Lord Bissell & Liddell LLP. Most recently, Mr. Woram was Senior Vice President and General Counsel of H&R Block in Kansas City.

Mr. Woram holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University at College Station and a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Texas at Austin, where he served on the Texas Law Review.

Dan Bridleman, Senior Vice President, Sustainability, Technology & Strategic Sourcing, 20 Years of Service

Dan Bridleman is our Senior Vice President of Sustainability, Technology and Strategic Sourcing. In this role, Mr. Bridleman leads our sustainability initiatives, maintains partnerships with our suppliers, and manages our information technology function.

With over 25 years of experience in managing Global Supply Chains, Mr. Bridleman began his career at KB Home in 2003 as Vice President of National Contracts. Prior to joining KB Home, Mr. Bridleman served as General Manager of Supply Chain Management at Boeing Satellite Systems in Los Angeles, California, the world's largest manufacturer of commercial communications satellites, as well as a major provider of space systems, satellites, and payloads for national defense, science, and environmental applications. Mr. Bridleman also previously served as Vice President of Supply Chain Management at Case Corp. in Racine, Wisconsin.

Mr. Bridleman holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems from Ferris State University. He also holds a Master of Business Administration from the USC Marshall School of Business.

Amit Desai, Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, 4 Years of Service

Amit Desai is our Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer. In this role, he holds overall responsibility for the company’s marketing strategy, as well as overseeing and managing all marketing efforts to drive awareness and traffic, and strengthen the brand.

Prior to joining KB Home, Mr. Desai spent 15 years at Warner Bros., most recently serving as Executive Vice President of Business and Marketing Strategy, Direct to Consumer and Global Franchise Management. In this role, he led the strategic planning, management and marketing of DC’s multibillion-dollar super hero brand and franchises globally. Amit played a pivotal role in growing DC’s revenue for Warner Bros. during his tenure.

Previously, Mr. Desai spent more than a decade in roles across brand management, digital marketing, direct marketing, product development, and advertising at The Walt Disney Company, Nestle and American Express.

Mr. Desai holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and History from the University of California, Berkeley. He also holds a Master of Business Administration degree in Marketing from Columbia Business School. 

Ken Gancarczyk, Senior Vice President, Builder Services, 46 Years of Service

Ken Gancarczyk is our Senior Vice President of Builder Services. As the head our centralized Architecture department, he leads five critical areas, including architectural design and production services, market research, geographic information systems, market strategy, and market surveys for our operations across the U.S.

During his 18 years at KB Home, Mr. Gancarczyk has been responsible for the creation of the thousands of unique floor plans and elevations used in KB Home’s homebuilding operations from coast-to-coast.

Mr. Gancarczyk joined KB Home in 1997 after 20 years of service at Rayco Homes of San Antonio, Texas. His tenure at Rayco Homes was spent creating and executing a strategy that helped the company lead the San Antonio marketplace to over 3,000 units of new home production and a 40% new-home market share. Mr. Gancarczyk concluded his tenure at Rayco Homes as the Lead Design Principal and Vice President.

Mr. Gancarczyk holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from The School of Art and Design at Southern Illinois University.

William R. Hollinger, Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer, 36 Years of Service

William R. Hollinger is our Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer with responsibility for all accounting functions and financial reporting. He also leads our companywide business planning process and is responsible for developing and implementing strategic initiatives to strengthen financial performance.

Throughout his career, Mr. Hollinger has played an important role in the company's largest transactions, including its tax-free spin-off, several public debt and equity offerings, various acquisitions, the initial public offering (IPO) and subsequent sale of the company's French subsidiary, and the sale of the company's mortgage banking subsidiary. He has also been instrumental in positioning the company's financial structure to support its operations and strategic initiatives.

Mr. Hollinger joined KB Home in 1987, immediately after the company's IPO. He established and led the internal audit department and created an audit reporting system to enhance operational efficiency and tighten internal accounting controls.

Prior to joining KB Home, Mr. Hollinger spent five years in the audit practice at Coopers & Lybrand (today known as PricewaterhouseCoopers) in the Los Angeles office.

Mr. Hollinger holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the California State University, Northridge, graduating Summa Cum Laude. He is a Certified Public Accountant, and member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, as well as the California Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Thad Johnson, Senior Vice President and Treasurer, 15 Years of Service

Thad Johnson is our Senior Vice President and Treasurer. In this role, Mr. Johnson is responsible for corporate-wide banking and financing activities including capital market transactions, credit facilities and project financings, and also manages our relationships with the credit rating agencies. Mr. Johnson joined KB Home in 2008 as our Assistant Treasurer and has served as Treasurer since 2010. During his tenure as Treasurer, we have raised more than $2.5 billion through a series of capital markets transactions and syndicated financings.

Prior to joining KB Home, Mr. Johnson was an assistant vice president with U.S. Bancorp’s commercial real estate group for three years, following more than 10 years of management consulting experience with several East Coast-based firms.

Mr. Johnson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Master of Business Administration degree in Real Estate Finance from the USC Marshall School of Business.

Thomas Norton, Senior Vice President, Human Resources, 14 Years of Service

Thomas Norton is our Senior Vice President of Human Resources. In this role, he is responsible for all human resources functions, including compensation, benefits, succession planning, employee development and organizational effectiveness.

Prior to joining KB Home, Mr. Norton served as Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer for BJ's Restaurants, Inc., a national restaurant company with over 10,000 employees and more than 80 locations. At BJ’s, Mr. Norton was responsible for recruiting and succession planning, talent development, performance management, team member relations, compensation and benefits.

Previously, Mr. Norton spent more than 14 years with American Golf Corporation, one of the largest and most diverse golf course and country club operations companies in the world. Mr. Norton served as American Golf’s Senior Vice President of Human Resources from 2000 to 2006, and previously held a variety of roles, including Director of Recruiting and Training, Regional Manager and General Manager.

Mr. Norton has served in numerous leadership capacities for charity and non-profit groups including the American Golf Foundation, the National Minority Golf Foundation, the American Heart Association and local community organizations.

Mr. Norton holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Notre Dame, graduating Cum Laude. He also holds a Master of Business Administration degree, with honors, from the USC Marshall School of Business.

Jill Peters, Senior Vice President, Investor Relations, 7 Years of Service

Jill Peters is our Senior Vice President of Investor Relations. In this role, Ms. Peters is responsible for setting the IR strategy, as well as crafting and communicating the Company’s investment narrative to Wall Street.

Ms. Peters brings nearly two decades of expertise in developing and executing effective IR programs. Prior to joining KB Home, she served as Vice President, Investor Relations at The Cheesecake Factory Incorporated, where she built and led the company’s IR function for 10 years. Prior to The Cheesecake Factory, Ms. Peters spent eight years at a leading investor relations consultancy advising clients across industries and market capitalizations.

Ms. Peters holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of California at Los Angeles and a Master of Business Administration degree from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.
