Residents of Brighton can enjoy the community’s prime location near shopping, entertainment, and dining at the Northridge Fashion Center and the Sherman Oaks Galleria. Planned community amenities include a tot lot and picnic area. Both Van Nuys Recreation Center and Van Nuys High School are within walking distance, and the nearby Sepulveda Basin Recreation Area features indoor and outdoor sports facilities, hiking trails, a community garden, an amusement park, Balboa Lake with boat rentals and fishing, golf courses, and more.

KB Home will host a grand opening celebration at Brighton on Saturday, July 28 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., during which attendees may tour the two elegantly-appointed model homes. Refreshments and family entertainment will be provided.

In total, KB Home will be constructing 58 two- and three-story homes and offering three distinct designs. With up to four bedrooms and three-and-a-half bathrooms that range in size from 1,500 to 1,900 square feet, the KB homes at Brighton feature generous master suites, open floor plans, and dedicated laundry rooms. Pricing begins in the $610,000s.

“The KB homes at Brighton offer an exceptional opportunity to own a new single-family home in an established area of Los Angeles,” said Glen Longarini, president of KB Home’s Los Angeles/Ventura division. “In addition to the community’s proximity to major freeways, which allows for easy commuting throughout the Los Angeles metropolitan area, Brighton offers all the conveniences and benefits of living in a dynamic urban neighborhood.”

The KB homes at Brighton will be built to current ENERGY STAR® guidelines and include WaterSense® labeled faucets and fixtures, meaning they are designed to be more energy- and water-efficient than most typical new and resale homes available in the area. These energy- and water-saving features are estimated to save KB homebuyers between $1,248 to $1,488 a year in utility costs, depending on floor plan.

As part of KB Home’s distinct homebuilding process, buyers may personalize many aspects of their new home to suit their budget and preferences. After selecting their lot and floor plan, KB homebuyers can work with expert design consultants who guide them through every aspect of the process at the KB Home Design Studio, a retail-like showroom where they may select from a plethora of design and décor choices, including countertops, cabinets, lighting, appliances and window coverings.

The Brighton sales office is located at 14700 Sherman Way in Van Nuys. The sales office is open Tuesdays through Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on Mondays from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. For more information about Brighton, or KB Home’s other new home neighborhoods, visit or call 888-KB-HOMES.
